Tanika Gupta, MBE (born 1 December 1963) is an English playwright of Bengali descent. Apart from her work for the theatre, she has also written scripts for television and radio plays.
She was awarded the MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2008 Queen's Birthday Honors List for her services to drama.

She was nominated for a 2004 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Outstanding Achievement of 2003 in a Society of London Theatre Affliate for her performance in Fragie Land at the Hampstead Theatre and her adaptation of Hobson at the Young Vic Theatre.
