He was the first journalist to broadcast live from inside Kosovo, anchoring a whole day's coverage live along the road to Pristina, following shortly behind NATO troops. Following the acclaim he received for this coverage, Sky News sent him out in the field to anchor live from the scene of major news events, such as September 11, the Soham murders, the Golden Jubilee and the Madrid bombs.
