#Quote
1The great thing about horror is you can get away with no happy endings.
2People are going to laugh at your attempt to write a really romantic scene. So what can you do to protect yourself? You can shock people...
3I fell in love with [Se7en (1995) director David] Fincher, because he was going back to the first draft after a long period of development. I did a 140-page draft for another director, and it didn't have any head in the box.
4[about the producers] They're always going to trust the director over a writer.
#Fact
1In the world of "Entourage," he wrote the "Aquaman" script.
2Wrote the screenplay for Batman Vs. Superman. The film was shelved when director Wolfgang Petersen announced he would instead direct the epic Troy (2004), and director Bryan Singer announced he would be directing the next Superman movie.
3Did a rewrite for the yet to be released Silver Surfer (????/II) movie. He also wrote an adaptation of W. Somerset Maugham's 'Of Human Bondage'.
4As script doctor, he did uncredited re-writes on The Game (1997), Event Horizon (1997) and Stir of Echoes (1999).
5Did some uncredited additions to the Fight Club (1999) script. In the final credits of the film the names of the three detectives who try to castrate the Narrator are Detectives Andrew, Kevin and Walker.
6Had a well-publicized fallout with director Joel Schumacher over 8MM (1999).
7Wrote an unproduced draft for X-Men (2000).
8Called David Koepp personally to read the script for Se7en (1995). Spoke to Koepp's assistant instead, who got Koepp to read the script. The rest is history.
9Spent three years working at Tower Records while writing the script for Se7en (1995).
10Graduated from Penn State University.
11Born in 1964 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
