Larry Silverstein Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018
Larry A. Silverstein (created May 30, 1931) is an American businessman. Silverstein was born in Brooklyn, and became involved in property, jointly along with his dad, creating Silverstein Properties. Silverstein split from his company associate, Bernard Mendik, in 1977, and purchased several big office buildings in Midtown and Lower Manhattan in the late 1970s. Silverstein was interested in getting the whole World Trade Center complex, and place in a bid when the Port Authority put it up for lease in 2000.
Shortly after the September 11 strikes, Silverstein declared his intention to reconstruct, though he and his insurance companies became embroiled in a multi-year dispute over whether the strikes had made up one occasion or two beneath the conditions of the insurance policy, which provided for a maximum of $3.55 billion coverage per occasion. A resolution was reached in 2007, with insurance companies consenting to pay out $4.55 billion, which wasn’t as much as Silverstein had sought. Silverstein also ran into multiple disputes with other parties in the rebuilding effort, including using the Port Authority.
Larry Silverstein is a crook, just like anyone else that made a profit from the World Trade Centers destruction!
