Thomas Joseph Lavin was born December 7, 1976 in Vegas, Nevada. Then he gave up racing to attempt dirt jumping. He eventually turned professional in the age of nineteen. He’s won nearly every contest he’s entered including the X Games along with the Dew Action Sports Tour. In the X-Games he took bronze medal three times, silver once, and gold three times (One was Australian). He’s been a DK Dirt Circuit Champ, a victor in the Gravity Games, a European championship victor, and a CFB Winner. He’s got a 1-acre (0.40 ha) BMX course in his backyard which contains several groomed trails and dirt jumps. He’s now sponsored by S&M Bikes, Headrush, Monster Energy Drink, Lavs Lab, and Kicker. TJ Lavin can also be the subject of a photorealist painting titled King of Dirt. He released his record called LAVS the Initial SET. He appeared on the tune “Never Gonna Hold Me Down” with Johnny Richter to the Sub Noize Souljaz record, on the tune “Watcha Want” to the record Random Stuff by good buddy and Suburban Noize recording artist Big B, as well as to the Tsunami Bros. Record King Harbor in a tune titled “The Crab Shack Special”. In 2008, Lavin released the single “Soldier” — a homage to his longtime pal Stephen Murray. Stephen crashed through the AST Dew Tour.
