Brandy Norwood Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018
Brandy Rayana Norwood (born February 11, 1979), also called Brandy or Bran’Nu, is an American recording artist and entertainer. From 1993 to 1994, Norwood appeared in a supporting character on the short lived ABC sitcom “Thea” and signed with Atlantic Records. The next year, she released her self titled debut record; singles “I Wanna Be Down” and “Baby” peaked atop the “Billboard” Hot R&B Singles chart. She resumed her music career in 1998 with the broadly successful duet with Monica, “The Boy Is Mine”, and her second record, “Never Say Never”.
Throughout the 2000s, Norwood experienced career and commercial turbulence. Her third and fourth records, “Full Moon” (2002) and “Afrodisiac” (2004), were released to critical and commercial success. She served as a judge to the initial season of “America’s Got Gift” before being associated with a widely-publicized car accident in 2006. After several suits stemming from your injury, Norwood’s fifth album “Human” premiered in 2008. In 2011, she started a recurring character on “Drop Dead Diva” and released her sixth album, “Two Eleven”, the subsequent year. The exact same year, she also started playing the character of Chardonnay on the BET show “The Game”.
Within pop music, Norwood has become known for her distinctive sound, defined by her special timbre, voice-layering, complex riffs, and beat-powered R&B. She’s since been signed to both Epic Records and RCA Records, where she’s got a catalog of hits with singles including “What About Us?,” “Talk About Our Love,” and “Set It Down” being her most successful. She’s sold over 30 million records world-wide. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) records Norwood as among the best selling artists in America, with 10.5 million accredited records.
