Taboo Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Jaime Luis Gmez (born 1975), better known by his stage name Taboo, is an American singer, performer, and rapper best known as an associate of the group The Black Eyed Peas. Dante Santiago was replaced with Jaime Gomez (Taboo), and Kim Hill became a regular background singer. Unlike a lot of hip-hop acts, they chose to perform using a live group and embraced a musical and clothes style that differed wildly from the “Gangsta Rap” sounds of Los Angeles-based hip-hop acts at that time. Taboo is known mostly for his guttural verbal reprises of the last few words of a sung lyric, along with emphatic fanfares between vocal parts, like “Yeah,” “Uh-Huh,” “Hey Hey Hey Hey,” and other similar memorable catch phrases. Among the singles in the record was “Joints & Jam”, and was featured on the Bulworth soundtrack. Their second record was Bridging the Gap (2000), which had the single “Request Line” featuring Macy Gray. In 2003 Fergie became the fourth member of the group as well as the group acquired international recognition being the now 6 time Grammy Given hip hop group using an estimated of 60 million records sold world-wide. They released their third album “Elephunk”, with the hit singles “Where’s the Love?” and “Shut Up”. Their next record Monkey Business, was a world-wide success, certified 4 Platinum in the U.S., and spawning the singles, “My Humps” and “Do Not Phunk with My Heart”. These three singles topped the graph for an unprecedented 30 straight weeks in 2009. “I Gotta Feeling” became the very first single to sell more than ONE million downloads in the UK.
