Harry Rapf (16 October 1882 New York City – 6 February 1949 Los Angeles) was a Jewish American producer. He began his career in 1917, and during a 20 year career became a well-known producer of films for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. He created the comedic duo Dane & Arthur featuring Karl Dane and George K. Arthur in the late 1920s.Rapf was also one of the founding members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was entombed at Home of Peace Cemetery in East Los Angeles, California.His son was screenwriter Maurice Rapf.

1Before entering the film business, Rapf worked in vaudeville putting together traveling minstrel shows.

3One of the original top executives of the newly formed Metro-Goldwyn-Meyer super studio in 1924, where he would remain for the remainder of his life. Rapf held the title of Production Supervisor in addition to acting as a line producer as well as one of Irving Thalberg's inner circle of supervisors. At the end of the reign of Louis B. Mayer, Rapf remained a Mayer loyalist and an enemy of MGM head Dore Schary.
