Toby Chu (Washington, D.C., 1977) is an American film composer. He recently composed the score for Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, a 3D animated film that will be released nationwide on May 9, 2014. The film features the voices of Lea Michele, Hugh Dancy, Megan Hilty, Jim Belushi, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, Oliver Platt, Bernadette Peters and Patrick Stewart.Chu will return to score the fifth season of Covert Affairs, the hit spy drama on USA Network. His previous scoring credits include two critically acclaimed series, Burn Notice and The Riches. Before embarking on solo projects, Chu worked with the Grammy-nominated composer Harry Gregson-Williams for over a decade.In 2010, Chu collaborated with Daft Punk, arranging and orchestrating "Adagio for Tron" on the Tron: Legacy (2010) soundtrack. He has also been credited as a composer for additional music on the movies Déjà Vu (2006), The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005), Domino (2005), and Team America: World Police (2004), among many others.He is currently composing the score for the upcoming indie drama Kelly & Cal, which stars Juliette Lewis, Jonny Weston, Josh Hopkins, Cybill Shepherd and Margaret Colin.
