Michael Monroe Lewis (born October 15, 1960) is an American nonfiction writer and financial journalist. He’s been a contributing editor to “Vanity Fair” since 2009. In 2014, his novel “Flash Boys”, which looked in the high frequency trading sector of Wall Street, was released.
Lewis described his encounters at Salomon as well as the development of the mortgage-backed bond in Liar’s Poker (1989). In The New New Thing (1999), he inquired the then-booming Silicon Valley and discussed fixation with invention. Four years after, Lewis wrote Moneyball, where he investigated the achievement of Billy Beane and the Oakland A’s. In August 2007, he composed an article about catastrophe bonds entitled “In Nature’s Casino” that appeared in The New York Times Magazine. He composed the Father Again column for Slate. In a interview in the 2010 National Book Awards, Tom Wolfe called Lewis one of two “writers to observe” (the other was Mark Bowden). In September 2011, following the successful release of the film adaptation of his novel Moneyball, it had been reported that Lewis intended to take on “a far more proactive part in the what might be another movie based on among his novels” and would begin writing a script to get a Liar’s Poker picture.

Marillion is one of those bands whose name is unfashionable even to mention. They are worse than unknown, they are formerly known. To be seen enjoying their music is extraordinarily brave. Each new record deal has come on less pleasant terms than the last but Marillion have one thing going for them: a passionate following of fans on the Web.

For a market expert truly to get inside the New York Stock Exchange, he'd need to climb inside a tall black stack of computer servers locked inside a cage locked inside a fortress guarded by a small army of heavily armed men and touchy German Shepherds in Mahwah, New Jersey.
