Rausch (born May 4, 1973 in Chanute, Kansas) is an American film journalist, author, screenwriter, film producer, and actor.Rausch has 17 published books, including Turning Points in Film History (2004), Fifty Filmmakers: Conversations with Directors from Roger Avary to Steven Zaillian (2008), and The Films of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro (2010). He is also the co-author of the late cinematographer Gary Graver's memoir Making Movies with Orson Welles. In 2012, he assisted horror filmmaker Herschell Gordon Lewis with the memoir The Godfather of Gore Speaks.Rausch is the screenwriter of the indie horror film Dahmer Vs. Gacy (2010). His production credits include Dead in Love (2009), Zombiegeddon (2006), and Evil Ever After (2008). His book, The Stephen King Movie Quiz Book (co-written with Ronald Riley), was published by Bear Manor Media in the Spring of 2011. Another book, I Am Hip-Hop, will be released by Scarecrow Press sometime in 2011.Rausch has published two crime novels, The Suicide Game (2011) and Riding Shotgun (2012). In May 2014, Burning Bulb Publishing released Rausch's third novel, Elvis Presley, CIA Assassin (2014).
