Jeremy McGrath (born November 19, 1971 in San Francisco, California) is among the most famous American Motocross/Supercross winners in the annals of the sport. His tricks during hops on the supercross track, the most well-known of which he called the “Nac Nac”, helped spawn the sport of freestyle motocross. Still competitive in Motorcycle racing, he’s tried his hand in various kinds of bike contest. Recently he’s grown into off road trucks in the Pro 2WD section of the LOORS Series and sometimes tries his hand at stock car racing. McGrath lives in Southern California along with his wife Kim and daughters Rhowan and Bergen.
In 2005, McGrath came from retirement to race a limited schedule on the Supercross circuit. He rejoined forces with his former Team Honda squad and has turned out to be at a competitive degree and speed which is not found from McGrath since the 2001 season. In the age of 34, he set consistently in the top 5 positions. In exactly the same year, Jeremy also raced Supermoto in the X Games and put 2nd to take home the silver medal. McGrath changed bikes from his brand Honda CR250R 2 stroke into a Honda CRF450R 4 stroke at Round 3 of the 2006 Supercross season. In keeping with his partial program, McGrath withdrew in the chain after Round Six, after earning multiple top 5 finishes, and jogging as high as fourth in the point standings. Jeremy competed in the 2006 Summer X Games; earning a 2nd in Step Up and 7th in Supermoto. He declared plans for the McGrath Invitational; an off-season supercross race with the advanced track and enormous purse. McGrath declared the 2006 Invitational could function as the closing professional Supercross race of his career.
