Neal George Joseph Schon (born February 27, 1954) is an American rock guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist famous for his work using the groups Journey and Bad English. He’s Journey’s only continuous member, having participated in every record and tour to date. He was likewise an associate of the rock band Santana before forming Journey. Schon was inducted in the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame on August 23, 2013.
Schon’s first guitar was an acoustic guitar Stella, followed two years later by a Gibson ES-335 which was subsequently stolen and replaced using a ’56 Les Paul Goldtop reissue he used for a long time.
