He’s best known as the drummer and combined front man (with Black Thought) for the Grammy Award-winning group The Roots, serving since February 17, 2014 as the in house group for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the same purpose he and the group functioned throughout the whole 969 episode run of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”
He’s created for artists including Elvis Costello, Common, D’Angelo, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Bilal, Jayz, Nikka Costa and more lately, Al Green, Amy Winehouse and John Legend.
