Mara Brock Akil (created May 27, 1970) is an American television writer and producer. Mara Brock AKil (Created: Mara Dionne Brock) was created in La, California and was raised mostly in Kansas City. She’s a graduate of Raytown South High School in 1988. She’s also a graduate of Northwestern University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and is a part of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Embodying the same can do spirit as her mother Joan, who climbed from secretary to designing her own money-making career in computer programming, Brock invented forward returning to Los Angeles to begin her profession. Brock Akil first started her career in 1994 composing for the critically acclaimed but short lived Fox show South Central. In 1999, Mara Brock Akil served as supervising producer and writer on The Jamie Foxx Show after composing for Moesha for four seasons. She also created and executive produced the spinoff show The Game. Their very first job under the new pact is a movie of a lady who begins a company to research the partners of high powered girls after she herself is left in the altar. The pair’s Happy Camper Productions banner ad will make. In the year 2012, Brock Akil became a Muslim.
