Their duet finished on a higher note when their “Farewell” tour was the top grossing performance as well as their farewell concert was the most successful musical occasion in cable pay per view history. In 1999 Naomi starred as Lily Waite alongside Andy Griffith and Gerald McRaney in the movie A Holiday Romance. Among her first acting jobs was a modest part (Girl on the Bus) in More American Graffiti in 1979. In 2000, The Judds embarked on their “Power to Change Tour” and performed to over 300,000 individuals in some thirty dates. The duet was nominated for the prestigious Academy of Country Music’s Top Vocal Duet of the Year in 2001. In November 2005, Naomi started hosting Naomi’s New Morning, a talk show that aired on Sunday mornings on the Hallmark Channel. The show lasted two seasons. She’s in addition the writer of several self help publications such as the recent Naomi’s Guide to Aging Gratefully: Facts, Myths, and Great News for Boomers. In 2008, Naomi joined a brand new television reality-competition show Can You Duet, as a judge/mentor. The show, by the producers of American Idol, aired on Country Music Television.

The Judds' (she and Wynonna Judd) Farewell Tour was the industry's top-grossing tour in 1991. She performed before a billion people worldwide at the 1994 Super Bowl halftime show. She and Wynonna reunited for a once-in-a-lifetime reunion concert at the America West Arena in Phoenix, Arizona, on New Year's Eve, December 31, 1999.
