Morris L. West was born on April 26, 1916 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia as Morris Langlo West. He was a writer, known for The Shoes of the Fisherman (1968), The Devil's Advocate (1977) and The Salamander (1981). He was married to Joyce Lawford and Elizabeth Harvey. He died on October 9, 1999 in Sydney, Australia.
