Bryce Courtenay was born on August 14, 1933 in Barberton, South Africa as Arthur Bryce Courtenay. He was a writer and producer, known for The Power of One (1992), Jessica (2004) and The Potato Factory (2000). He was married to Christine Gee and Benita Solomon. He died on November 22, 2012 in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
