Haldane Douglas (13 August 1892 – 26 May 1980) was an American art director. He was nominated an Academy Award in the category Best Art Direction for the film For Whom the Bell Tolls.He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and died in Orange County, California.
Architect, painter, etcher and printer. First studied art in Pittsburgh, later furthering his education in Paris under Andre Lhote (1926-1928). Lectured at the Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. Joined 20th Century Fox in the 1930's, under contract as full art director from 1941 to 1947.
