Michelle Latimer is a Canadian actress known mainly for her role as Trish Simpkin in the soap opera Paradise Falls, shown nationally in Canada on Showcase Television, starting in 2001.Latimer comes from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Ontario. Her largest role so far is as Trish Simpkin in Paradise Falls. She plays a goth teen on the sex filled soap opera. Her character is a rebellious youth who acts tougher than she really is.Aside from Paradise Falls, Michelle has had limited roles in other TV productions. In 2004 she had two guest appearances on the low budget Canadian hit show Train 48. She also had a minor appearance in the 2004 film Resident Evil: Apocalypse.Before being on TV, she was involved in several stage productions, such as Anne, Liars, Adventures of Emily Brontesaurus, Reflections on Crooked Walking, Into the Woods, St. Nicholas Hotel, Atreus, Measure for Measure, Grease (as Rizzo), The Music Man, Anything Goes (as Hope Harcourt) and Fiddler on the Roof (as Bielke).After Paradise Falls, she returned to the stage, starring in Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love, written by Brad Fraser. She performed the play in 2004 at Crow's Theatre in Toronto. She played Benita, a psychic prostitute. Like Paradise Falls, the play also had some controversy for its open depiction of sexuality.She produced and directed an animated film titled Choke, which was one of five animated shorts nominated for Genie Award in 2011.
