The original intended spelling of his ring-name was "Louie Spicolli", however when he had his first promo photos printed, the company misspelled his ring-name as "Louie Spicoli".

He appeared in the WWF as Rad Radford, a fan of grunge music, and purportedly the boyfriend of Courtney Love. He worked an angle with the Bodydonnas, wanting to join (despite his comparatively poorly toned body) and was eventually admitted as a "Bodydonna-in-training". This lasted until Survivor Series 1995, when he was thrown out of the group because his physique was not good enough.

Spicolli had been addicted to a drug called Somas, which was a strong sleeping pill. He was pushed out of the WWF after he was unable to stop his addiction, and Paul Heyman also was cautious when using him in ECW.

Spicolli began his wrestling career in Mexico wrestling as Madonna's Boyfriend, and later went to the WWF wrestling as "Rad Radford." After a brief stint in ECW, Spicolli went to WCW, where he became Scott Hall's lackey in the nWo. He also was beginning to do color commentary on Nitro and Thunder. Sadly, he passed away before the angle could be fully drawn out.
