Guy Kawasaki (created August 30, 1954) is the chief evangelist of Canva, a web-based graphic design tool. Previously, he was an adviser to the Motorola business unit of Google and chief evangelist of Apple. He’s in addition the writer of APE, What the Plus!, Enchantment, and nine other novels.
In 1983, Kawasaki got work at Apple through his Stanford roommate, Mike Boich. He was the chief evangelist for four years, until he “began listening to [his] own hype, and wished to take up a software company and actually make big bucks.” In 1987, Kawasaki was hired to lead ACIUS,[10] the US subsidiary company of ACI, which released an Apple database software system called 4th Dimension. He left ACIUS in 1989 to further his writing and speaking profession; during this time around, he wrote columns that have been featured in Forbes and MacUser. He was a co founder of Garage Technology Ventures, a venture capital firm which has made investments in Pandora, TripWire, The Motley Fool and D.light Design. In 2007, he founded Truemors, a free flow gossip mill, that sold to NowPublic. He’s also a creator at Alltop, an internet magazine stand.
