Lesley Judd was born on December 20, 1946 in London, England. She is an actress, known for Time to Talk (1987), The Great Egg Race (1979) and Blue Peter at 50 (2008).

She left Blue Peter to look after her husband Terry Gabell, a film editor who worked on Blue Peter, after he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. During this time she continued to appear on television, as an in-vision continuity announcer for Southern TV, the ITV company that covered the Southampton area.

Before becoming famous as a presenter of Blue Peter (1958) in 1972, she was a dancer with The Young Generation.
