James Jannard Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018
In 1975, he began a one man company selling bike components from his automobile at motocross occasions. He named his business after his dog, Oakley. He started developing his own products: first custom handlebar handles that conformed to the design of one’s hand and later bike goggles, ski goggles, and shades. One version of shades was used by bike racer Greg LeMond, increasing Oakley’s profile. In the 1980s, he limited the sale of Oakley shades to the Sunglass Hut (although modest specialty shops could continue to sell Oakley shades). In 1991, his business had 200 workers. In 1995, the business went public. He sold Oakley in mid-2007 for over $2 billion
