Colleen Hewett (born 16 April 1950) is an Australian theatre and TV actress, and a popular singer. Her top 40 singles on the Kent Music Report include "Super Star", "Day by Day" (both 1971), "Carry That Weight" (1972), "Dreaming My Dreams with You" (1980), and "Gigolo" (1981). Her version of "Day by Day" peaked at No. 1 on the Go-Set National Top 40 Singles Chart and was certified as a gold record. At the TV Week King of Pop Awards she was voted Queen of Pop in both 1972 and 1973. During 1984 she guested as Sheila Brady in the TV series, Prisoner.
Colleen is currently living in the exclusive suburb of Toorak in Melbourne, Australia and she occasionally visits her holiday home in Fiji. [January 2004]

Her first big hit was the #1 single - 'Day By Day' from the Godspell musical released in November of 1971 it went Gold and has sold over 50,000 copies. 9 years later in March of 1980 she released her second #1 hit 'Dreaming My Dreams With You'. In her 20+ years in the music/television/film and theatre industries she has had over 10 hits and recorded 7 albums.

Colleen was asked to be a judge in season 2 of the Australian Idol competition but turned it down because she would be away from her family for up to 6 months.
