Cliff Bastin was born on March 14, 1912 in Exeter, Devon, England. He was an actor, known for The Arsenal Stadium Mystery (1939) and One of Our Aircraft Is Missing (1942). He died on December 4, 1991 in Exeter.
Bastin's record of 178 goals stood until 1997, when it was surpassed by Ian Wright. As of 2005, Bastin is still the third highest scorer in Arsenal's history.
