# Fact 1 Hayward was close friends with another renowned stuntman, Chuck Roberson , and the two often worked together. Roberson was a big, burly man with a reputation as a hellraiser both on and off the set. Hayward, by contrast, was of average height and build with a much more even temperament. Because of the contrast between the two close friends in both size and personality, Roberson picked up the nicknames "Big Chuck" and "Bad Chuck" and Hayward picked up the nicknames "Little Chuck" and "Good Chuck". 2 Hayward rode a falling horse named Twinkle Toes. 3 Doubled for Jeffrey Hunter , John Wayne , and Rod Steiger .
