Cec Linder (sometimes credited as Cecil Linder) (March 10, 1921 - April 10, 1992) was a Polish-born Canadian film and television actor. In the 1950s and 1960s he worked extensively in the United Kingdom, often playing American characters in various films and television programmes. In film, he is probably best remembered for his role as James Bond's CIA counterpart Felix Leiter in Goldfinger (1964). Another well-known film in which he appeared was Lolita (1962), as Doctor Keegee.
He became famous in Britain in 1958 when he took over the role of Captain Queeg from Hollywood star Paul Douglas in a live TV broadcast of "The Caine Mutiny Court Martial". Douglas had come to London especially to repeat his stage success in the role, but was taken ill (possibly with the heart trouble which killed him the following year). Linder had been hired by the BBC as his understudy in the role, and did the live performance on less than 24 hours' notice. He won rave reviews, and subsequently enjoyed large roles in British TV for many years.
