He could be the older brother of actor/comedian Bill Murray as well as the two have played jointly in several movies, including “Caddyshack”, “Scrooged”, “Ghostbusters II”, “The Razor’s Edge” and “Groundhog Day”. Coworkers on the Radio Hour comprised Richard Belzer, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Harold Ramis and smaller brother Bill. He appears in several movies along with his brother, Bill Murray. Nevertheless, he’s also got parts in other movies. Early on he appeared in “Modern Problems along side Chevy Chase. Again years after he memorably appeared as Chevy Chase’s uptight manager, Frank Shirley, in 1989’s National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and costarred as arcade operator, Noah Vanderhoff in the 1992 movie version of Wayne’s World. He got a tiny part as assassin Jack Ruby in 1991’s JFK. He was seen in the 2002 film, Snow Dogs. His latest role was in 2009’s 17 Again. He played studio head and Greg Warner’s (Anthony Clark) leader George Savitsky on Yes Dear. He played Shawn Spencer’s grandpa on the episode “The Old and the Restless” on the USA Network TV Show Psych, having an uncredited cameo in the sixth season. He starred in a recurring character as Mr. Ehlert, owner of the car dealership where Frankie and Bob work on the ABC TV show The Middle. Now, he costars to the TBS situation comedy on Sullivan & Son, where he plays the foulmouthed Hank Murphy.
