#Quote
1[on cowboy actor Reb Russell and the two westerns she made with him, Range Warfare (1934) and Fighting Through (1934)] They were terrible movies--the worst of the worst. Reb was a very nice man--he must have been divorced by this time, as we dated a few times. He was a perfect gentleman, who always wore expensive cowboy boots, even on our dates! Reb was not an actor--he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag--but he was so congenial, friendly, nice. Portly, but a nice looking man.

2She made her film debut in Saturday's Millions (1933), a Universal football saga starring Robert Young, followed by Horse Play (1933), a slapstick comedy starring Slim Summerville.
3Minor 30s leading lady known for her long blonde tresses who came to Hollywood after winning a beauty and talent contest sponsored by Universal. She retired for marriage and family, but returned sometimes on the film festival circuits, often making the amusing remark that people only remembered her because she "went to bed with Boris Karloff" (referring to a scene in the film).
