Lauren Katherine Conrad (created February 1, 1986), is an American television personality, fashion designer, and writer. After moving to La to continue a vocation in the fashion industry in May 2006, Conrad was commissioned to star in her very own spinoff show “The Hills”, which chronicled the private and professional lives of her and buddies Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port. As the show progressed, a widely publicized feud developed between Conrad against Montag and her boyfriend Spencer Pratt. As a result, the struggle became the principal focus of the show, and was carried through each succeeding season in which Conrad appeared.
She filmed an alternative ending for the series finale in July 2010, that was broadcast in August 2013. Conrad started the fashion lines “LC Lauren Conrad” and “Paper Crown” in 2009 and 2011, respectively. She released the “L.A. Candy” novel trilogy in 2010 and the spinoff “The Fame Game” show in 2012. Conrad became engaged to musician William Tell in 2013.
After moving to La in May 2006, the spinoff show The Hills was developed to chronicle the lives of Conrad, her housemate Montag, and their pals Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port. During creation of the primary season, Conrad and Port held internships with Teen Vogue below the direction of West Coast Vogue editor Lisa Love; she said they needed to interview successfully for the places, “regardless of exactly what the cameras needed”. From the next season, their camaraderie had deteriorated after Montag started dating Spencer Pratt. After Montag moved in with Pratt, Patridge and Lo Bosworth afterwards became roommates with Conrad.
