Sid Sheinberg was born in 1935 in Corpus Christi, Texas, USA as Sidney Jay Sheinberg. He is a producer, known for For Richer or Poorer (1997), A Simple Wish (1997) and The Pest (1997). He has been married to Lorraine Gary since August 19, 1956. They have two children.
In a memo, which appears in "Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History", Sheinberg long believed, and attempted to persuade Steven Spielberg that the title of the movie should be changed to "Space Man From Pluto" to avoid the film from appearing as a "genre" (i.e., time-travel) picture. He even suggested three dialog edits that would make it a thru line in the movie, including changing Marty's line identifying himself as "Darth Vader from the Planet Vulcan" to the thru line. Fortunately, his suggestion was not taken and movie history remains intact.
Co-owns a large apartment on the 62nd floor of Trump Tower in Manhattan with Steven Spielberg.
