1I have no objections to film awards per se. I just feel that if I don't value a particular film award, then I won't attend it either. Apart from the national award, I don't see any other award ceremony that I should give value to. My personal experience about these award ceremonies is that I don't trust them. I have no faith in them so I would prefer to stay away.
2Rani [Mukerji] is a close friend. She is someone I am extremely fond of. We share a very good relationship. We can depend on each other.
3Rani is one of my closest friends, we can talk about anything.
4If a star comes close to holding the sway that Madhuri Dixit or Kajol did, it is Rani Mukerji. She pays attention to her work, has matured and become experienced with time.
5A star needs to have style. Unfortunately I have very little. But Salman [Khan] has it all.
6I enjoy the love I receive from my fans and my audience. But I think I know what is real for me and what is not.
7My son is a harsh critic.
8I found that what happened 150 years ago was happening again with Americans entering other countries and exploiting them but pretending they were doing a favor. It was this contemporary feel that attracted me.
9Film making is like fighting a war with leadership at the front.
10"There's a lot of talent both in India and Pakistan. I think the talent in both these two countries should come together and entertain the world audience. If the right offer and opportunity comes my way, I'd love to do a movie in Pakistan." (12 May 2006)
11Every film I do means a lot to me. The failure of Mela, definitely made a difference to me. I am not comfortable with the idea of my films not releasing to their full potential.

5In 1995, Aamir stopped attending the Filmfare Awards. Many think he gave up since he had been nominated numerous times from 1988-95 and never won once, but it was really because Aamir began to think Filmfare was biased and rigged. He felt that they were toying with him by purposely not winning him any awards, and that they were biased against him in favor of actors like Shah Rukh Khan, who was sweeping awards back then even though he was a newcomer. He felt he should have won the Best Actor award for his films Rangeela (1995), Akele Hum Akele Tum (1995), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), and Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991). He also thought Filmfare was rude by not even nominating him for his other acclaimed works Dil (1990), Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke (1993). So, in the end, he just gave up.
6Him and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan are arch-rivals. They have never done a film together even though they both have been offered many opportunities to do so. In 2007, Shah Rukh Khan mocked Aamir for his choosiness in films and not attending the Filmfare Awards, and after that, Aamir went on to say that Shah Rukh is "the name of my dog who licks my feet". This caused them to avoid each other for bit, but they patched up in 2013. However, they have been competing and taking digs at each other since 1995, when Aamir stopped attending Filmfare Awards.
