Renee Rosnes was born in 1962 in British Columbia, Canada. She is a composer, known for Renée Fleming: Christmas in New York (2014), Renee Rosnes: Jazz Pianist (1997) and In Good Time: The Piano Jazz of Marian McPartland (2011). She has been married to Bill Charlap since August 25, 2007.
She records and tours with the San Francisco Jazz Collective, an octet for which she has composed and arranged music.

She is an adopted daughter of the late Audrey Rosnes and Henry Rosnes, who lived in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Her father was a machine operator for the District of North Vancouver. The bride is a biological daughter of Mohinder Randhawa of Lake Cowichan, British Columbia.
