Wesley Reid Scantlin (created June 9, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri) is a songwriter, lead singer, guitarist as well as the sole remaining founding member of the American post-grunge group Puddle of Mudd. They released their next record Abrasive in 1997. Four years after, together with the inclusion of three new members, Come Clean was released in 2001. In 2003, the group released Life on Display. They released the record Renowned in 2007. The very first single off the record was “Spaceship”.Their most well-known tune is Blurry which reach number 8 in the U.K. Scantlin occasionally tours with Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell, playing acoustic Alice in Chains songs. Scantlin was among many artists who worked with Carlos Santana on his record, All That I’m, especially on the tune “Just Feel Better”. The tune was recorded with Scantlin and Steven Tyler; yet, Tyler’s version appears on the record.
