Papoose Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Shamele Mackie (created March 5, 1978), better known by his stage name Papoose /ppus/, is an American rapper. After his debut studio album, “The Nacirema Dream” would be shelved and he’d cut ties with Jive. This may result in him releasing more than a dozen free mixtapes to keep himself popular. In 2012 he procured a deal with Fontana Distribution and released his debut album alone on March 26, 2013.

Since then he’s released various mixtapes keeping his name on the market with the most recent one being Most Despised Alive which was released December 4, 2012. His debut record The Nacirema Dream was scheduled to be released March 5, 2013. The music video premiered on 106 & Park on February 1, 2013. The release date was yet pushed back another three weeks until March 26, 2013. Upon release the album received generally favorable reviews from music critics and debuted at number 97 on the U.S. Billboard 200. Lamar called Papoose’s answer comical and then allegedly threw shots back at him about the BET Hip Hop Awards TDE cypher. On October 4, 2013, Papoose replied saying he’d be releasing another diss track shortly. He also announced plans to release a brand new mixtape branded, Blackballed shortly, and that he’d already started working on his second studio album. On November 4, 2013, he released Hoodie Season his first mixtape since his debut record.
