Jason Newsted Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Joining Metallica in 1986 after Cliff Burton’s death, Newsted remained an associate until 2001, making him the group’s longest-serving bassist. After he left Metallica, he continued together with his job Echobrain, played with Ozzy Osbourne and joined heavy metal band Voivod. Newsted uses the pseudonym Jasonic, which functions as both his alias in Voivod as well as the name of his music publishing company. He’s in addition the creator of the Chophouse Records studio and label located in California. He now plays in his self-titled group Newsted, where he supplies lead vocals along with bass guitar.

Tour, the group started a hunt for a fresh bassist. Newsted auditioned along with about 39 other musicians as well as in winning the job, his first live performance with Metallica was at the Country Club in Reseda, California. His advent with Metallica was on The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited in 1987. This is followed by his first studio album together with the group, …And Justice for All (1988), which was subject to controversy and criticism for the creation, among other problems, for its muddy bass guitar sound. Newsted asserts this was additionally hazing on the section of Lars Ulrich and James Hetfield, although both Ulrich and Hetfield maintain they were also disappointed with the creation of the record. Moreover, they assert that most/all of Newsted’s bass lines strongly followed the rhythm guitar lines to the idea of being indiscernible from each other. Nevertheless, the record peaked at number 6 on the Billboard 200 and projected the group to higher success. Newsted also played bass guitar on the song “I Disappear” in 2000.

1When I came into Metallica, I had to do justice to Cliff's work, but I also had to put my own signature on it. No one could be Cliff Burton; Cliff Burton was the Jimi Hendrix of bass. I had to practice, practice, practice to get anywhere close to where he was.
2Yes, we sell out...every seat in the house, every time we play, anywhere we play.
