Earl Bennett was born on November 5, 1918 in Kansas City, Kansas, USA as Earl Fred Bennett. He is known for his work on Charlotte's Web (1973), The Spike Jones Show (1954) and Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol (1962). He died on October 4, 2007 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
He toured with Spike Jones and His City Slickers under the name "Sir Frederic Gas". He wore a black suit with long tails, a string necktie and teased his long hair out into a "fright wig". His comic specialty was rubbing two sticks together, while squeaking a leather reed in his mouth, creating a comical instrument he called his Sadivarious. He later joined UPA and Hanna-Barbara cartoon studios as a film editor. Retired and painted for a hobby until blindness set in.
