Amanda Wakeley (b.15 Sept 1962) is a British fashion designer best known for her glamorous evening and cocktail dresses and accessories, and for her “clean glam” signature style, has also developed a strong and rapidly growing presence in daywear, including chic day-dresses, impeccable tailoring and knitwear and a well-edited, but expanding line of accessories and fine jewellery. Sposa is the brand's bridal collectionWakeley's glamorous and chic evening creations are often chosen by some of the world’s most stylish woman for their appearances on the red carpet, from Beyoncé and Florence Welch to Oscar-winning Helen Mirren and Angelina Jolie or Kate Winslet. Wakeley has also had the honour to dress many members of Royal families, most notably the late Diana, Princess of Wales, Queen Rania of Jordan and most recently The Duchess of Cambridge. Wakeley’s gowns were recently worn by Bond girl Naomi Harris in Skyfall, the latest 007 James Bond film.
She was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2010 Queen's New Years Honours List for her services to the Fashion Industry.
