William Bradford "Bill" Huie (November 13, 1910 – November 20, 1986) was an American journalist, editor, publisher, television interviewer, screenwriter, lecturer, and novelist. He is best known for his choice of flashpoint topics (such as the African-American Civil Rights Movement) and for the practice of checkbook journalism. He had several books adapted as feature films during the 1960s and 1970s.
His first wife Ruth taught first grade at Crestline Elementary School throughout much of Huie's career. After Ruth's death, he married Martha Robertson and lived with her until his death at Guntersville, Alabama.
