Latrell Sprewell Bio/Wiki, Net Worth, Married 2018

Latrell Fontaine Sprewell (created September 8, 1970) is a former American professional basketball player; he played for the Golden State Warriors, the New York Knicks, as well as the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite his achievements, his career was overshadowed with a 1997 episode where he choked trainer P. J. Carlesimo during a practice, which finally resulted in a 68-match suspension.

Sprewell’s career came to an unexpected ending in 2005 when he refused a $21-million three-year contract offer in the Timberwolves, which he suggested wouldn’t be enough to feed his kids. Since that time, he’s made headlines for grounding his million dollar yacht, having two of his houses foreclosed upon, and being prohibited from seeing his kids.

Sprewell ended second in team scoring, striding at 19.9 ppg behind Garnett’s 24.0 ppg. On October 31, 2004, the Minnesota Timberwolves offered Sprewell a 3-year, $21 million contract extension, considerably less than that which his then-present contract paid him. Promising to feel insulted by the offer, he openly expressed indignation, declaring, “I ‘ve a household to feed … If Glen Taylor really wants to see my family fed, he better cough up some cash. Otherwise, you are likely to see these children in one of those Sally Struthers commercials shortly.” He rejected the expansion, and, having once more brought the ire of fans and sports media, had the worst season of his profession in the last year of his contract.
