Dick Afflis was born on June 27, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA as William Richard Afflis. He was an actor, known for The Wrestler (1974), I Like to Hurt People (1985) and The Escapist (1983). He died on November 10, 1991 in Tampa, Florida, USA.
In November 1957, while performing in a tag team match in Madison Square Garden, a riot broke out. He stood in the ring and tossed as many people as he could back into the stands. The New York State Boxing and Wrestling Commission banned him for life from ever wrestling in the state of New York.
