Preeya Kalidas (born 21 June 1980) is a British singer and actress of Indian descent. She previously played Amira Masood in the soap opera EastEnders. Having done so, she returned to her career in singing, with her single "Shimmy" being released in July 2010 taken from her debut album (I'm Over It) Constant Craving, was supposed to be released in September 2010, but had been postponed indefinitely due to work commitments.
Her EastEnders (1985) character Amira Shah's wedding to Syed Masood (Marc Elliott), dated on 1 January 2010, is ranked #5 in "The 50 Greatest EastEnders (1985) Weddings of All Time" (2010).
