Penny is also a star of musical theatre. Her first job out of high school was playing the lead role of Jennifer Gabriel in Cameron Macintosh's production of "The Witches of Eastwick" at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne. She was nominated for a MO Award for this role at the age of 19.
