Joy Elaine Hruby, OAM, [1927) is a former Australian actress, TV presenter, producer, film-maker and author with a career spanning more than 50 years. Joy is the presnter and producer of her own program "Joy's World" which is screened weekly on TVS (Television Sydney). Her contribution to the arts and entertainment was recognised with an OAM (Order of Australia Medal) in the 2007 Queen's New Years Honours List. "I can't believe it," Joy said of her award. "How can they reward someone for doing something she loves doing?" (www.joysworld.biz). Joy is the mother of Australian actress Anna Hruby. She has written a wartime memoir called Dubbo Dazzlers.
