John Paul Cusack (born June 28, 1966) is an American celebrity, producer, screenwriter and puppeteer. Cusack experienced box office success along with his characters in the dark comedy Grosse Pointe Blank as well as the Jerry Bruckheimer hit Con Air. He starred in the horror movie 1408, based on Stephen King’s short story of exactly the same name. He next appeared as a widowed dad in the Iraq War-themed play Grace Is Gone and as assassin Hauser in the black political satire, War, Inc., along with Hilary Duff and Marisa Tomei. His sister Joan Cusack and close pal Jeremy Piven have appeared in a lot of his movies such as Say Anything… and Grosse Pointe Blank. Piven and Cusack play opposite one another in One Crazy Summer, Serendipity. Cusack also had a short cameo, seen from behind but talking a line of dialogue, in Broadcast News, in which Joan additionally appeared. Piven also had parts in The Grifters and Runaway Jury. In Roland Emmerich’s last disaster film 2012, he played Jackson Curtis, a struggling novelist and limousine driver, along with his Identity and Martian Child co star Amanda Peet. In the 2012 thriller movie The Raven, Cusack impersonated Edgar Allan Poe.
