Barry McGovern was born in 1948 in Dublin, Ireland. He is an actor, known for Braveheart (1995), Far and Away (1992) and Joe Versus the Volcano (1990).
When it first came out it was so avant-garde people didn't know what to make of it. It wasn't the kind of well-made play they were used to. The problem is, Waiting for Godot is like Mozart: too easy for children and too difficult for adults.

Some people think of Beckett as a very negative writer. I think he's a positive writer. The last three words of [his novel] The Unnameable are: "I'll go on" - "You must go on; I can't go on; I'll go on."
