Is a natural operatic soprano - in 2007 became the first black female to play 'Cosette' on Broadway in the 20-year history of 'Les Miserables'. Played Scott Joplin's college wife opposite Michael Boatman in the Roundabout Theatre Company's 'Tin Pan Alley Rag', and sang Joplin's ragtime opera "Treemonisha".
