Short, bald, funny-looking comic character actor who was cast at the age of fifty-six in his first major acting role as Corporal Sam Fender in twenty-four episodes of The Phil Silvers Show (1955) [Sgt. Bilko]. Four years after the cancellation of that series he played Waluska with the top comedian again on The New Phil Silvers Show (1963).
