David Markham (3 April 1913 – 15 December 1983) was an English stage and film actor for over forty years.Markham was born Peter Basil Harrison in Wick, Worcestershire and died in Hartfield, East Sussex.He was married to Olive Dehn (1914–2007), a BBC Radio dramatist, from 1937 until his death. They had four children together. Their daughters are Sonia (illustrator), Kika (born 1940, actress, widow of actor Corin Redgrave), Petra (born 1947, actress) and Jehane, married to actor Roger Lloyd-Pack.In the Second World War, he was a conscientious objector.David Markham appeared occasionally in cinema and often on television. He appeared in Carol Reed's film The Stars Look Down (1939) and in François Truffaut's film Day for Night (1973).
